Plot/Storyline - Fishtank tells the story of Mia (Katie Jarvis), a 15 year old girl who is a resident on an Essex council estate with her irresponsible and single mother, Joanne (Kierston Wareing) and precocious little sister, Tyler. Whilst facing the trials and tribulations of becoming a young woman, Mia faces being thrown out of school as well as awaiting admission to referral units. Alongside this, Mia starts to build an uneasy and unlikely relationship with her mothers recent boyfriend, Connor (Michael Fassbender) who slowly starts to encourage Mia to take further interest into her secret passion that is dance.
