After a lengthy discussion with Bruce (whom has made many films himself,) we decided to give our opening sequence more structure and flow by adding more to the synopsis and story.
The film will now follow two people as they grow up (from baby, to a young girl - 12, a teenager - 16, a young adult - 23, to adulthood - 37.)
As the narrative gets to the thirty seven year old, it will be the first time a face is revealed in our opening. The audience will be able to see that both people in the split screen look identical. Following this, two phones will ring simultaneously, both people answer them. After the faces are revealed, the music will fade out slightly as well as the footage and the film name, which has now been changed from 'On Pointe' to 'Parallel.'
We feel as if this name would fit our film better as the characters are always running alongside each other but never seem to truly meet, just as parallel lines never do.
